Playfirst are building an empire with their DinerTown games. What started with Diner Dash has now become a series of much loved titles, and the big selling point is the continuity of characters and locations in each.
The latest release is DinerTown Detective Agency, a hidden object style game with mysteries to solve and culprits to catch in various DinerTown locations.

Flo is here to lend a hand, as she helps her friend Bernie the Bookworm fulfil his dream of becoming a skilled investigator.
Each level has a different mystery to solve (all quite mild as DinerTown is a safe place to live) and once you have found all the items on the list it is time to find the guilty party. There are mini games to eliminate suspects such as matching fingerprints and jigsaw puzzles. Once you have narrowed the list down to three, the DinerTown residents give you clues about the suspects so you can find who did the crime.

Some items need to be found using a magnifying glass and at times you even need to dust for fingerprints. This is a lighthearted and fun game but with a target audience of women between 25-55 I think it could have been slightly more challenging.

The storyline is well thought out and the familiarity of the characters brings the game to life. Those who love the original time management style games need to know this is really a hidden object game to avoid being disappointed, however if you enjoy a good “seek and find” I think you will be thrilled by the unique features this game brings.
